Another award for NOMOS

Glashütte, fall 2011. Apple, BMW, Volkswagen, Jura, Philips - the list of the prizewinners of the iF product design awards is long. And now the list is richer by a watch from Glashütte: a jury consisting of international design experts has chosen the NOMOS Zürich watch as the winner in the area of product design, category leisure & lifestyle. The model created by the exceptional Swiss designer Hannes Wettstein and built in Glashütte persuaded the jurors in part with the quality of its design, workmanship, functionality, and choice of materials.

For the iF product design award 2012, 2,923 entries were submitted in 16 categories. The iF design prize, which has been awarded since 1953, is one of the most renowned design prizes in the world; the iF logo is a seal of quality for outstanding design. Once again, this award confirms NOMOS Glashütte as the home of good craftsmanship "Made in Germany," combined with a sure feeling for perfect design. Masculine and noticeable, and yet reserved, smart, well conceived, and at the same time superior - that's NOMOS Zürich. And not only the Zürich garners prizes (in 2010, it already won the coveted red dot design award); other NOMOS models compete with it for honors and this year have already won for the manufactory the Goldene Unruh twice and another red dot.

Winning the prize sends the watch on a trip around the world. But first it will be on exhibit at the iF design exhibition in Hanover from March 6 to 10, 2012.
