BOVET supports the Gstaad Menuhin Festival

these arts have a universal ability to unite enthusiasts the world over. It is the attention paid to every detail, invisible or inaudible though it may be, that magnifies watchmaking or musical masterpieces.
Moreover, music is omnipresent in watchmaking. The regular pulse of the regulating organ within a
timepiece, akin to a metronome, creates the precision that characterises Swiss watchmaking. In addition to
their exemplary rhythmical regularity, numerous BOVET timepieces also provide musical accompaniments, as in the case of the minute-repeater. In such timepieces, crafted by virtuoso artisans of BOVET 1822, the
movements strike the hours, quarters and minutes on request, on gongs tuned by watchmakers to the exact
frequency after being shaped to obtain a crystal-clear sonority.
On a more philosophical note, BOVET 1822 is renowned for sustaining its unique heritage and skills
such as engraving, miniature painting and jewel-setting, regardless of fashion, which is by nature ephemeral. The links that unite watchmaking and music also inspired the name of a BOVET collection, called Récital. In view of these facts, it was only natural that the House of BOVET 1822 should support the Gstaad Menuhin Festival (from 20 July to 8 September) and we are delighted to mark time together at this prestigious event.
